Live podcast with Harrison Storm

Join me as I go live on my Instagram @ Life Is The Way with incredible musician Harrison Storm

Under the cover of sand and waves, the fabled Australian beach life defined Storm’s
formative years. This upbringing by the sea, translated into a love of adventure that
he still carries with him today, finding chances to take on new challenges. Diligently
chasing his musical dream with a sense of urgency, he organized and launched a
popular “acoustic night” in his quaint beachside hometown of Mornington, Victoria
at the age of 20.

Two years later, he dropped out of university to solely devote his days to busking for
tourists in Melbourne, eventually making enough to finance his 2015 debut EP Sense
of Home, produced by friend Hayden Calnin. Its title track would go on to become a
worldwide hit generating 70+ million streams on Spotify, achieve Gold certification in
Canada and catch the attention of Nettwerk co-founder Terry McBride, who
personally signed Storm after sending him a message on Facebook.

Storm has been compared to a range of beloved artists, from Ben Howard to City
And Colour. But, though suitably lofty, those comparisons don’t quite capture what
makes Storm special. In truth, the musician is that all too rare kind of artist: one who
sounds like nobody but himself, who takes his influences and his unique worldview
and mixes them up into beautiful, acoustic-led ballads of redemption and grace that
could only have been written by him.

Since signing with Nettwerk, Storm has unveiled a further 3 EPs containing honest
and emotional song-writing, that have won him a bevy of fans around the world with
tracks like Change It All, Feeling You & Breathe Again. Along the way, he occupied
real estate on coveted playlists such as Your Favourite Coffeehouse, Relax & Unwind,
The Stress Buster, and more as the total stream tally exceeded 200 million and
counting.

With a charismatic presence on stage, Storm has also made a name for himself on
the road, performing alongside the likes of Ziggy Alberts, Snow Patrol, The Paper
Kites, Gregory Alan Isakov, SYML, Tash Sultana, Michael Franti, The Cat Empire,
Husky and more. Simultaneously, he impacted the influential Triple J and received
airtime on BBC Radio 2 and US tastemaker station KCRW. Plus, his music has also
been licensed to a wide variety of networks, including NBC (“The Blacklist,” “This Is
Us”), MTV (“Teen Mom”), ABC (“American Idol”), CBS and more.
